New Tarte Cosmetics Summer 2009 Product Launch: Enhance Lashes, Get Toned and Tan

This month, tarte cosmetics is launching three new products as part of the tarte summer 09 collection and some new shades. The new tarte summer 09 collection looks to be more of an innovative departure from their previous color-based collections and includes a natural lash enhancer and an anti-cellulite self-tanner! I’m really curious to try the new products and see how they work, especially since I’ve had really good luck with tarte products so far.
multiplEYE natural lash enhancer ($65)
Contains a clinically-proven peptide that gives the appearance of longer, thicker lashes. Apparently 90% of clinical subjects reported an “increase in lash thickness,” while all subjects reported an “increase in overall lash length.” Sounds impressive. Best of all, this lash enhancer is cruelty-free and free of parabens, petro-chemicals, dyes, and other questionable ingredients.
celluFIGHT natural anti-cellulite self-tanner ($40)
A double-duty skin-toning skincare product and self-tanner in one! I don’t normally self-tan because I’m too lazy for that, but this sounds intriguing. Ingredients include natural plant-derived DHA self-tanner, caffeine, algae extract, and natural green tea fragrance that is 70% organic.
eyeQuatic waterproof summer essentials set ($35)
This makeup set includes three new lock & roll eyeshadows (turquoise, citrine, tanzanite), a deluxe lights, camera, splashes! waterproof mascara, and an aquatic-mod headscarf.
tarte summer 2009 launches May 2009 and is available at tarte.com, sephora.com, beauty.com, Henri Bendel, and other boutiques.

While geeky gadgets don’t typically fit in the realm of fashion and style, Jawbone headsets made by Aliph are changing that. While other bluetooth headset makers have started targeting fashion-conscious female consumers with girly colors and blinged-out carrying cases, Jawbone is really the first headset to truly turn heads, both male and female, based on good product design alone.
Jawbone headsets originally rose to stardom in the gadget world for their patented NoiseAssassin noise elimination technology (once developed for military use), however the original Jawbone headsets were a bit large and clunky. The second generation re-designed Jawbone headsets (a.k.a. Jawbone II) were smaller, sturdier, and used different ear hooks, and unfortunately they started making them in market-pressured metallic-frost colors like Rambling Rose and Babbling Blue. IMHO the basic black Jawbone looks just fine!

While the name “Victoria’s Secret” and the term “natural beauty” may not be totally synonymous, lingerie giant Victoria’s Secret may now be trying to change that with the launch of their new natural beauty line called Naturally Victoria’s Secret.
The Naturally line, available now in stores and online starting April 1, is supposed to feature products with natural ingredients in five light scents, though as yet it is still unclear to me what else they might be bringing to the table when it comes to natural beauty products. (I guess I will just have to check out the line in person and post here later!)
So, to kick off the launch of Naturally, Victoria’s Secret is giving customers free stuff when they purchase Naturally Victoria’s Secret products in stores. (The gift with purchase is valued at $38.)
