Bite Beauty is a new Sephora-exclusive product line that immediately turned my head, in part because of the elegant simplicity of the textured grey packaging with glossy red lettering, but also because of the alluring range of shades and textures – all just for lips. Also, the fact that Bite Beauty lip products contain food-grade ingredients and the resveratrol equivalent of five glasses of red wine is kinda cool too.
To try out the Bite Beauty line, I picked up a Bite Beauty High Pigment Matte Pencil in Honey Berry, because it looked gorgeously mauve-nude swiped on my hand and because it reminded me of my beloved Nars Velvet Matte Pencil formula. How did it stack up?

Started out a doubter, but now I’m a lover…
When I received a few products from the new Benefit Cosmetics b.Right! skincare line in my mailbox, I didn’t actually expect to be that impressed, since makeup, in my opinion, has always been Benefit’s strongest suit.
Well, I was wrong to doubt Benefit’s ability to bring it with b.Right! I am absolutely loving the two Benefit b.Right! cleansers that I’ve tried, the Refined Finish Facial Polish and the Foamingly Clean Facial Wash. They make me feel more girly and more… clean.

I recently attended a Levi’s Curve ID launch event in San Francisco at the Union Square Levi’s shop. I got to meet You Nguyen, SVP of Levi’s Women’s Merchandising and Design, who gave a demo that illustrated precisely why women traditionally have such a hard time finding jeans that fit based on size (but not shape). I even got to to try free Curve ID jeans!

SF Barneys Warehouse Sale Highlights:
Not expecting to find much, I headed straight for the Barneys Women’s Shoes section at the back. (The women’s handbag and accessories selection was dismal, btw.) The first Sunday of the SF sale wasn’t too crowded and there was room to sit down and try on shoes. With shoes arranged by size in typical clearance fashion, only the right mate was available on the racks. Note: Each shoe box gets sealed with rope before you can take it over to the registers! Talk about security!
After trying on some ill-fitting Prada wedges and a chic Italian multi-strap zippered heel (just a little too large), I found some super-comfortable and cute Marni suede heels (photo below) that hugged my feet when I put them on. I was immediately sold!

Check out Meilily’s look from last night’s Benefit Cosmetics blogger party at the San Francisco Benefit Boutique!
I attended the Benefit blogger event to preview their three new Fall 2010 products, and had a great time! What’s not to love about meeting and chatting with Benefit’s awesome Global Trend Artist, Annie Ford Danielson (daughter of one of Benefit’s founding sisters), and also trying out hot new beauty products while sipping mini cocktails with cupcakes and grilled cheese from the new American Cupcake shop?! So glad I went!
Polyvore was there too, and they recreated my outfit as an online Polyvore set (see above). This works the same as creating a look on Shopstyle, and it’s fun to do!
I actually wore a gray knit dress by Iisli, Carmen short boots by Frye, and a gray scarf from Target, but you get the picture. Check out the end result up on Polyvore!
