Meilily Product Testing: Will using RapidLash result in thicker lashes?

With all the fuss and controversy over prescription and non-prescription lash growth serums and their potential side-effects, it is often difficult to tell truth from fiction, good products from bad products. Meilily is here to get you the real scoop on the popular non-prescription lash growth serum, RapidLash, by testing it out over the next several weeks to see if it really works.

The controversy over lash growth products started with the possible iris-discoloring side effects of the first FDA-approved eyelash growth product, prescription-only Latisse. Latisse contains the same active ingredient level of lash-growing prostaglandin as a drug that was used to treat glaucoma but which left some glaucoma patients with permanent iris darkening. Apparently Latisse helped patients in a clinical study grow their lashes about 25 percent longer and about twice the fullness! Would you trade lush lashes for stained irises?

Though it is important to note that the iris-darkening side effect was found in glaucoma drug patients and not in the Latisse clinical study, it is still wise to be cautious about things you put near your eyes! Given that beauty boards like the one at are buzzing about non-prescription (prostiglandin-free) lash growth products, and since others have reported good results with RapidLash, it’s a good time to put non-prescription RapidLash to the test.

RapidLash typically retails for $49.99, though Meilily got a tube of RapidLash at for about $32.95 with free shipping.

Stay tuned for results and thoughts on RapidLash over the next weeks from Meilily

Permanently stained irises sounds scary! Is the extra lash growth also permanent? I have light colored irises so I’ll probably stick to the more traditional mascaras and such. Looking forward to seeing how your experiment goes, I hope it works!

Thanks, Natalie! The lash growth is not supposed to be permanent, so you will need to keep applying the lash growth product to keep them growing. Hope it works too!

I’ve been afraid to try Latisse, but bought Revitalash about 3 months ago. I love it. It’s made amazing changes in my lashes in the time I’ve been using it. I just bought Revitabrow, too. Very excited to see if it works!

I haven’t used RapidLash nor other brands of eyelash enhances other than Revitalash. And I agree with Courtney on how amazing it is!!! I didn’t get irritations or skin discolorations or any kind of side effect. All I got are gorgeous lashes that I’ve always dreamed about.
