Started out a doubter, but now I’m a lover…

When I received a few products from the new Benefit Cosmetics b.Right! skincare line in my mailbox, I didn’t actually expect to be that impressed, since makeup, in my opinion, has always been Benefit’s strongest suit.

Well, I was wrong to doubt Benefit’s ability to bring it with b.Right! I am absolutely loving the two Benefit b.Right! cleansers that I’ve tried, the Refined Finish Facial Polish and the Foamingly Clean Facial Wash. They make me feel more girly and more… clean.

While the name “Victoria’s Secret” and the term “natural beauty” may not be totally synonymous, lingerie giant Victoria’s Secret may now be trying to change that with the launch of their new natural beauty line called Naturally Victoria’s Secret.

The Naturally line, available now in stores and online starting April 1, is supposed to feature products with natural ingredients in five light scents, though as yet it is still unclear to me what else they might be bringing to the table when it comes to natural beauty products. (I guess I will just have to check out the line in person and post here later!)

So, to kick off the launch of Naturally, Victoria’s Secret is giving customers free stuff when they purchase Naturally Victoria’s Secret products in stores.  (The gift with purchase is valued at $38.)

Harajuku Lovers is an award-winning fragrance line by Gwen Stefani and Coty, inspired by playful girlish street styles from Japan’s fashionable Harajuku district and by Gwen Stefani’s backup dancers. The Harajuku Lovers fragrance line includes six unique fragrances bottled in sugary cute packaging, each representing a unique girl and a unique style. Allure November 2008 issue

The latest issue of Allure, the November 2008 issue featuring Eva Longoria, is a veritable minefield of fragrance samples, ranging from Calvin Klein’s Secret Obsession to Paris Hilton’s new Fairy Dust. One of the best things about this issue of Allure, though, is the Beauty 101 guide to perfumes.

The Beauty 101 section in Allure usually features how-to cards with lists of recommended products on the back, but in this issue, the cards instead feature special fragrance offers from Nordstrom!  Allure teamed up with Nordstrom to bring us these fragrance offers for Nordstrom’s Fragrance Festival event.  Many of the tear-out cards are essentially vouchers for free perfume samples, redeemable at Nordstrom’s fragrance counters.
