Meilily Product Photos & Details: Alima Pure Mineral Makeup Holiday 2010 Fairy Tale Collection Sets!
Even if you don’t believe in fairy tales anymore, you will want to check out mineral cosmetics brand Alima Pure and their Limited Edition Holiday Fairy Tale Collection sets. I tried the Limited Edition “Once Upon a Time” (shown above) and “Happily Ever After” mineral makeup sets from the Fairy Tale Collection, and am now enchanted with Alima Pure’s high-quality additive-free mineral cosmetics.
Not only does Alima Pure know how to make high quality mineral makeup, but they also really know how to package it. You’ll easily fall in love with Alima Pure’s beautiful pigments and also their whimsical motifs. (Apparently Alicia Silverstone is a fan too)! Best of all, Alima Pure products are fragrance-free and formulated without irritants like bismuth oxychloride or preservatives. (Btw, they’ve even received a Certified Natural Cosmetics seal under strict European standards!)

Meilily IMATS Haularama!
Just wanted to share my haul from IMATS 2009, the International Makeup Artists Trade Show held in Los Angeles. I was there on Day 2 and picked up a satisfying budget-friendly haul. It’s a small haul by any means, but, I didn’t want to go overboard, given the economy right now! You should be proud!
Make Up For Ever (MUFE) offered 40% off at the show, and most exhibitors offered at least 20-30% off! So here’s what I picked up:
- MUFE Diamond Cream in shade 4 Flesh
- MUFE Empty 3 Pan Palette
- MUFE Diamond Eye Shadow in 308 Diamond Night Blue
- MUFE Eye Shadow in 167 True Blue
- MUFE Eye Shadow in 144 Periwinkle Blue

Meilily has found the most amazing makeup brush ever, and you’re gonna love it!
The Kabuki Brush #181 by Stript Makeup is hands down the best kabuki brush ever! Not only is this brush super soft and extremely dense, but it is also made of vegan synthetic bristles that are cruelty-free. You can’t beat a makeup brush that works well and is also cruelty-free!
The taklon bristles on the Stript Kabuki Brush are even crimped, unlike most synthetic bristles out there, and apparently crimped synthetic bristles are more similar to natural hairs and can hold makeup better than straight synthetic bristles. When I heard that the Stript Kabuki Brush was crimped, I was sold!
The Stript Kabuki Brush retails for $38, and is well worth it. Kabuki brushes can be used to apply mineral makeup, blush, and more. To find out more about Stript Makeup and to find beauty stores where Stript products are sold, check out their website, StriptMakeup.com. The Stript Kabuki Brush is currently available on Amazon through Beauty Collection, where I got mine.
Meilily says: Love the Stript Kabuki Brush!
