Meilily: Fig + Yarrow Palmarosa Charcoal Cleanser Droplets Meilily Product Review & Photos: Fig & Yarrow for Target – Palmarosa Charcoal Cleanser!

Meilily is all aflutter these days over the new Fig + Yarrow for Target skincare collaboration, one of our favorite Target collaborations ever! The Fig + Yarrow Palmarosa Cleanser is the brand’s favorite from their Target collaboration, so we’ve been eagerly waiting to try it.

Read on for a full review of this standout product from the Target skincare collaboration, the Palmarosa Cleanser!

Review : Fig + Yarrow Palmarosa Charcoal Cleanser (4 oz., $19.99)

Our first question: “What the heck is palmarosa?

Palmarosa is a grass (Cymbopogon Martini) from the lemongrass family that is used for the antiviral, antibacterial properties of its anti-aging essential oil. It is also supposed to be good for healing sores.

The first thing you’ll notice about the Fig + Yarrow for Target Palmarosa Charcoal Cleanser is its charcoal-grey-green color and thin watery consistency.  Most facial cleansers are thicker gels or creams that produce foam, but this cleanser is very different, in a good way.

You won’t see much foaming action once you rub this refining cleanser over your skin, but you will want to leave its green-tea-scented deliciousness on (maybe for too long!). You also don’t need to add water to get it cleansing. Did we mention you can feel it working?(Some of our blemishes felt a mild sting, like something was happening.)

So this unique cleanser containing palmarosa is best for normal to oily skin, and probably not for those with very sensitive skin, as it may occasionally sting or tingle a bit if you have blemishes.  Did we mention you might be tempted to leave it on?

Another interesting thing about this Fig + Yarrow Palmarosa Cleanser is that it dries pretty quickly, like a facial mask, once you apply it, no water needed. It will practically disappear into your skin without feeling tight.  Just don’t leave it on too long!

This Palmarosa Charcoal Cleanser is one of our favorite cleansers ever, up there with Tata Harper’s Purifying Cleanser! Skin feels softer, cleaner, and fresher after using the Palmarosa Cleanser, while still feeling dewy. You’ll want to wash your face with this!
